LWVMC In Action: A Guide to Becoming More Involved in Our League (Day 1)
About this event
Over the course of two 3-hour workshops, held on November 1 and November 15, 2025, this program discusses how the League of Women Voters of Montgomery County (LWVMC) works to empower voters and defend democracy with voter registration and services, civic education and engagement programs and issues advocacy. Participants can expect to gain a deeper understanding of our mission, organization, how we are involved in our community, and ways to become more involved. Workshops will be held on Zoom. Attending both workshops is very much encouraged but not required. These workshops are only available to members.
On Saturday, November 1, we start with an overview of our history, mission, organization and how we operate, and then discuss services, education, and engagement. Sessions will cover:
• LWVUS/LWVMC History, Mission, and Organization
• Our Operations: Communications, Membership, Technology and Finance
• Empowering Voters – Voter Registration and Other Services
• Empowering Voters – Civic Education and Engagement
