HELP WANTED!

LWVMC needs volunteers to support short-term projects as well as for tasks that require ongoing support. Often, these volunteer opportunities involve only a few hours and can be performed remotely on your own schedule.

Opportunities for Members and Non-Members: Trending Topics Technical Support; CPA Volunteer; Spanish Speakers Needed

Member Only Opportunities: Bulk Mailing Coordinator; Help Maintain LWVMC's Website; Help Plan the Fall Luncheon

Bulk Mailing Coordinator
We are looking for a two-member team to prepare bulk mailings for delivery to the U.S. Postal Service after volunteers have stuffed envelopes. Volunteers must be willing to go into the LWVMC office 1 or 2 days to support bulk mailings in mid-February, June, and October. Training on the Postal Service’s process requirements will be provided. Trending Topics Technical Support
The Trending Topics team is seeking one or more volunteers to "back up" the League member currently responsible for running the technical requirements for events held on zoom, recorded and shared on our website and social media. Volunteers will "shadow" to learn how to run the technical side of Trending Topics events, which are held about four times each year. Experience with hosting meetings on Zoom and evening availability are qualifications. Experience with video editing and social media will be helpful. Help Plan Our Fall Luncheon
Members are needed to help plan our fall luncheon, tentatively scheduled in late October 2026. Volunteers are needed to help plan and coordinate event publicity, registration, and sponsorships, among other tasks. Help Maintain LWVMC’s Website
The Technology Committee is seeking LWVMC members to help to maintain our website. No prior experience necessary, training will be provided. For more information or to volunteer, please contact techcomm@lwvmocomd.org.

CPA Volunteer Needed
We are looking for a CPA who has experience with a nonprofit 501(c)(3) to conduct a financial review (not a full-scale audit) of LWVMC's books. Our Treasurer, and Budget and Finance Committees, would be most grateful to find someone among our members, or friends and family of members, to help us with this important annual work. Spanish Speakers Needed – Help Translate/Update Our Voter Materials
We need assistance periodically in translating and updating our Voter’s Guides and other brochures and informational materials for voters into Spanish. Usually, translations can be completed in about 1 to 3 hours per request. This work can be done remotely.
