Volunteering Opportunities

Help new citizens register to vote after their naturalization ceremony. Naturalization Ceremonies for 2026 will be held monthly beginning February 12th and ending November 12th. For each date, we will need seven (7) volunteers needed, one Lead Volunteer plus six other positions. One Lead Volunteer should pick up, set up, and return materials. The other 6 volunteers will help new citizens complete voter registration applications. PLEASE NOTE: All volunteers must be Registrars.

At locations marked as [Monitor], the initial bundle will already be delivered; volunteers must monitor and replace Guides as needed. English-language Voters' Guides will be ready for pickup about September 24, and Spanish Voters’ Guides will be ready about October 9. Pick up at the League office at 27 Wood Lane, Rockville. Bundles will need a label that will be emailed to you for printing. If the site requires both Spanish and English, the volunteer must pick up and deliver both versions when ready. We will send a notice to volunteers when Guides are available. PLEASE NOTE:  Because the Volunteering sign-up page set-up format requires a date/time entry, the sign-up slot descriptions are set for September 25 from 11 am to 4 pm. Notwithstanding, please pick up the Guides as they become available and continue to monitor until Election Day on November 3.



After the election, tally the number of Guides replaced and how many were left before removing and returning them to the League office. Email your tally and any comments about the location (such as address or contact information changes) to the Voters' Guide Distribution Coordinator at votersguidedistr@lwvmocomd.org.
